Entertainment reporters share excited expectations for this year’s ‘020’ live concert

As Vodafone Ghana gets ready to launch the biggest musical concert ‘020 live’, entertainment reporters and publicists are anticipating a big show with amazing performance from local and world artists. 020 live, arguably the biggest entertainment event on the Ghanaian entertainment calendar has become a look-forward to event on the music scene.

“I am expecting a big show this year,” says celebrity reporter and publicist Ameyaw Debrah adding that his experience on previous concerts has been awesome.
“Trey Songs and Ludacris have been my favourite; they were amazing and gave me lots of headlines and highlights,” adds Ameyaw who reports for ameyawdebrah.com.
Bernard Yaw Ashiadey of BFT Weekend believes the previous shows have been interesting especially the headline artists like top American rapper Ludacris.
Since 2011, telecommunications giant Vodafone Ghana has been organising the ‘020 Live’ concerts as part of its commitments to improving the music industry in Ghana. Last year, Ghanaians were entertained by the R&B superstar Ludacris and other big music stars such as Sarkodie, 4x4, Naeto C and Vodafone Icons winners Black n Peach.
According to the reporters, the ‘020 live’ concert has contributed a lot to the Ghanaian entertainment industry. “I think it is a fun event that most Ghanaians look up to as it has been an avenue for top international stars to come perform in Ghana,” says Ameyaw.
Bernard adds: “I think the show also increase revenue in the pockets of local artists and that is good. Also, as per every show a lot of people are employed to work on various aspects of the show, so more money in the pockets of Ghanaians.”
However, the two entertainment journalists were split on who will headline this year’s event. “I would love to see Usher, Beyoncé or Rihanna perform,” says Ameyaw.

“One man that I will be happy to see headline this year's show is Eminem. If Vodafone can bring Eminem to Ghana I will be very happy and wouldn't miss that show for anything,” disclosed Bernard.
