Kasapreko Donates 300 Cement Bags to Complete Baatsona Police Station

Ghanaian-owned international beverage firm, Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL) has donated 300 bags of cement to the Ghana Police Service for the completion of the Baatsona Police Station located in Accra.
The cement bags will be used for finishing touches on the new Police building in the area.
According to Mr Gerald Bonsu, Marketing Manager of KCL, the company, which is passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) since its establishment in 1989, donated cement bags to the Police to further empower them to effectively protect the citizenry.
“The whole company deems it fit to support government. We think that the government cannot do everything by itself, so we consider this donation as our CSR to enable the Kpeshie Division of the Ghana Police Service do a good job of protecting the people and Ghana as a whole,” Mr. Bonsu said.
The Management of Kasapreko led by the Director of Finance, Mr. Emmanuel Teiko, presented the bags of cement to the Kpeshie Divisional Police Commander ACP Victor Gyan-Kyereko and his Police team at the Head Office of Kasapreko.
ACP Gyan-Kyereko, who received the cement bags on behalf of the Ghana Police Service was grateful for the kind gesture adding that the 300 bags of cement would help the Police Service to complete their new structure.
“On behalf of the Police administration and the Kpeshie Divisional Command, I wish to express our sincere gratitude for this donation,” ACP Gyan-Kyereko said.
The Kpeshie Division comprises Sakumono District, Nungua District, Teshie District, La, Osu and Cantonment District. It is one of the biggest Police Divisions in the Greater Accra Region.
“We are also opening a Police post near the Shell Filling Station off the Spintex Road and this donation would go a long way to completing the project. We do not have much to say than to work very hard to justify the 300 bags of cement that has been given to us,” ACP Gyan-Kyereko said.

He commended KCL for assisting the Ghana Police Service and the Kpeshie Division in the past and urged them always to factor the Police Service in its CSR activities.

Photos: Samsung, Yaw Preko Inspires Young Footballers to Continue to Dream @ Samsung "Dream Camp"

Electronics giant  Samsung  has inspired  aspiring  young footballers to continue  dreaming at the stage three of the 'I See Your Dreams Campaign' at the Lizzy Sports Complex.

The exciting and fun filled event saw students from Kotobabi 3 & 4 schools engage in various activities  with local football legend and former Black Stars winger and AFCON bronze medalist, Yaw Preko.

Yaw Preko, who is also the head coach of the National U21 men's soccer team  took the young footballers through a football clinic where they were take through some professional football coaching and training. He also gave team a motivational speech to believe and keep dreaming. He also advised them to be disciplined and take their studies in school serious.

The two schools later clashed in friendly football match with Kotobabi 4 emerging victorious . Both teams were however presented with trophies from Samsung for their participation.

The day was climaxed with the viewing of the Black Stars game against  Algeria in the 2nd group stage game of the ongoing AFCON 2015 where the young footballers enjoyed the game with their football icon, Yaw Preko.

The day came to a perfect ending as Ghana's captain, 'Baby Jet' Asamoah Gyan clinched a crucial last minute goal to seal victory for Ghana to keep the Black Stars' hope of qualifying to the next stage of the competition alive.

Samsung Launches ‘I See Your Dreams’ Campaign for Orange Africa Cup of Nations Equatorial Guinea 2015




Samsung partners with Orange AFCON 2015 to make dreams come true

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, is pleased to announce the ‘I See Your Dreams’ campaign to engage fans and help the youth in pursuing soccer in Africa during the Orange Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Equatorial Guinea 2015, which started on the 17th of January 2015 and will end on the 8th February 2015.
Samsung proudly supports the beautiful game and this campaign is symbolic of the company’s passion for the continent and football. The ‘I See Your Dreams’ campaign gives football fans the opportunity to get closer to making their football dreams come true. The campaign will run in Ghana whose team has qualified for the tournament.
Samsung has partnered with a local soccer hero, Andre Ayew from Ghana who is recognised for his individual commitment to the sport and has worked hard to make his own dreams come true, as well as a soccer Legend, Yaw Preko who will be active in engaging with football fans during the course of the campaign.
Key elements of the campaign include:

-       Dream Maker school donation campaign where Samsung  donated items in support of football development in schools situated in  Accra , this CSI initiative took place on the 15th and  16th of January 2015 at Kotobabi Junior High School (3) and Kotobabi Junior High School (4).
-       Retail activations at selected Samsung Brand Stores which will give fans an opportunity to meet the football legends. The promotional activations will take place at the following Brand Stores;
-       West Hill Mall
From Wednesday, 21 January 2015 until Sunday 25 January 2015
-       Junction Mall
From Wednesday, 28 January until Sunday 1 February 2015
-       RingRoad
From Wednesday, 24 February until Sunday 8 February 2015

-       ‘I See Your Dreams’ Dream Camps where fans will be given the opportunity to receive football training and tips of professional coaches as well as chat to the football legends who will share their experiences having played for their national sides. The Dream Camp will be held on the 23rd of January 2015 at Lizzy’s Sports Club in Accra.
-       The campaign will create excitement through engagement with football fans around Africa with a focus on Zambia and Ghana, whose teams have qualified for the tournament.

Samsung gives Africans the experiences and opportunities to share the football passion through the ‘I See Your Dreams’ campaign. Samsung’s ‘I See Your Dreams’ video connects with the African passion and pride for football, two of the children who appear in the video are participants of 2013 Samsung’s football youth camp. The music in the video was performed by Drakensburg Boys Choir in South Africa, and over 100 million online users have watched I See Your Dreams all around the world.
