Photos: Samsung, Yaw Preko Inspires Young Footballers to Continue to Dream @ Samsung "Dream Camp"

Electronics giant  Samsung  has inspired  aspiring  young footballers to continue  dreaming at the stage three of the 'I See Your Dreams Campaign' at the Lizzy Sports Complex.

The exciting and fun filled event saw students from Kotobabi 3 & 4 schools engage in various activities  with local football legend and former Black Stars winger and AFCON bronze medalist, Yaw Preko.

Yaw Preko, who is also the head coach of the National U21 men's soccer team  took the young footballers through a football clinic where they were take through some professional football coaching and training. He also gave team a motivational speech to believe and keep dreaming. He also advised them to be disciplined and take their studies in school serious.

The two schools later clashed in friendly football match with Kotobabi 4 emerging victorious . Both teams were however presented with trophies from Samsung for their participation.

The day was climaxed with the viewing of the Black Stars game against  Algeria in the 2nd group stage game of the ongoing AFCON 2015 where the young footballers enjoyed the game with their football icon, Yaw Preko.

The day came to a perfect ending as Ghana's captain, 'Baby Jet' Asamoah Gyan clinched a crucial last minute goal to seal victory for Ghana to keep the Black Stars' hope of qualifying to the next stage of the competition alive.

According the Richard, Separate cooling system maintains optimum temperature for each of the three compartments while giving consumers the opportunity regulate each compartment independently. Also, the separate cooling compartment does not allow odour to be transferred, keeping the original freshness.

And compressor runs slowly at the night when temperature is low, humidity is high, and door opening frequency is low and in effect saves energy and money. Women in Vodafone spend time with children suffering from cancer

Women in Vodafone (WIV) have visited the Children’s Oncology Ward at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital to spend time with the children recovering from various types of cancer.

The group, made up of female staff of Vodafone Ghana, read to the children and also encouraged them to push through with their various treatments so they can fully recover. They presented books and assorted fruit baskets to the children aged 6 months to 13 years.
Vodafone Foundation earlier this year undertook major renovation works and created a world class child friendly Cancer Centre at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital. Some of the extensive construction work carried out included overhauling the entire sewage and roof; renovating bathroom and toilet facilities; creating a sterile treatment room, recreational area and a reading room for the children.

The leader of the team, Iris Owusu-Manu, said Women in Vodafone were committed to supporting vulnerable women and children. She was grateful for the support of Vodafone Foundation in making the Oncology Ward a child friendly environment and pledged Women in Vodafone will regularly visit the ward and support with the recovery of the children.


Women in Vodafone have in the past offered career guidance to some selected young girls in Accra. They have in the past also made donations to various groups and associations including the Country Side Orphanage in Bawjiase, the Central Region.

SAMSUNG TO REPLACE DAMAGED NOTE 3 HANDSETS THROUGH SAMSUNG PREMIUM

Samsung Electronics West Africa has announced that they will replace the handsets of note 3 customers who accidentally damage their screens through breakage or liquid damage for free.
According to the Business Leader for Handheld Products at Samsung Ghana, Jaspreet Singh, Samsung have listened to the market and to ensure that they continue to drive innovation, choice and value to their consumers, they have created an ecosystem focused on ensuring the future viability of their customers’ investment and security thus the Samsung Premium for Note 3 which includes the ADH Premium which is available to customers who have registered on the Samsung Premium through the ADH Application.

ADH Premium is an enhancement to the current ADH offering which gives Note 3 customers an additional Smart swap. This elite service for Note 3 consumers allows users to use the ADH premise but instead of two repair claims over the 24 month period, consumers who accidentally damage the screen of their Note 3will have it replaced twice over the period. To sign up for the service, Note 3 users are required to download the Samsung Premium ADH application from the Samsung App Store on their device and register.

Samsung Empowers Journalists with GALAXY S4 Zoom

Samsung Electronics Ghana has presented ten Galaxy S4 Zoom Smartphones worth GHC12,500 and an amount of GHC5,000 to the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) as sponsorship for the 18thAnnual GJA Awards, in a short presentation ceremony at the Accra International Press Centre.
The Sales Director for Handheld products at Samsung Ghana, Ryan Na said the decision to sponsor the awards was influenced by Samsung’s appreciationof the contributions of journalists towards the development of Ghana.“At Samsung we believe in excellence, and support any effort though which it is recognized or rewarded. The GJA Awards have over the years done just that, and this has proven to be very relevant to the development of journalism in Ghana.” Ryan noted.
