Samsung Galaxy S III Wins ‘Smartphone Of The Year’ Award

Samsung Galaxy S III was adjudged as the ‘Smartphone of the Year’ at the third Ghana Telecom Awards held at the Movenpick, Accra.
Chief Retail Officer at Samsung Michael Bosompem said: “We feel really humbled and we like to dedicate the award to our customers who have believed in us over the period. We would also like to dedicate the award to our distributors in Ghana, i2 and also our dealers who have contributed immensely to building the brand.
“At Samsung we go beyond our means to make things happen, we actually didn’t expect to win this award. I guess it is recognition of our hard work,” he said.

According to Mr. Bosompem, the S3 sold over 40,000 pieces in Ghana alone.
Samsung has also done a couple of CSR activities. The company constructed boreholes in the Ashanti Region and provided educational support for needy but brilliant students in some communities are few of what Samsung Ghana has done by way of CSR in the country
The successor of the award winning GALAXY S3, the GALAXY S4 also has a number of exciting innovations around it.
Samsung has given everybody the opportunity to own a GALAXY S4 due to the partnership with Standard Chartered Bank where one can pay in monthly instalment between periods of 6 to 12 months to own an S4. There also have the ADH insurance which actually comes as insurance on screen or water damage which allows customers to have two repairs for free within the 24-month ADH warranty. The only requirement for the ADH is for customer to register on the E-Warranty platform by sending REG*IMEI Number# to 1453.

The brand Ambassador for Samsung, Sarkodie also entertained the audience to some great music at the very entertaining night.
